Orchestre de Paris

LCH.Clearnet has partnered with the Orchestre de Paris –Paris Symphonic Orchestra – and has chosen to support the “Musique et Santé” programme it has developed.

The Orchestre de Paris organises visits to hospitals with musicians and their instruments.  In duets or trios, the musicians go out and play in hospital rooms or common rooms, in order to share a unique musical moment with patients and their families.

This project has been developed in partnership with the “Musique et Santé” association, created in 1998 for the promotion and diffusion of live music in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Research has shown that live music has a soothing effect; children smile, some move their hands to the beat of the music, anxious babies calm down, and parents relax. 

One year after the success of the “La Vie au Grand Air” partnership which focused on making music accessible to a wider audience, LCH.Clearnet has decided to support this new project. With our support, the Orchestre de Paris has been able to organise extra appearances in a variety of venues including paediatric and geriatric wards.
