Clarification Statement
18 February 2013
The following statement appeared in the LCH.Clearnet 2012 Annual Report and its RNS statement of 15th February 2013: "[… LME extended clearing with LCH.Clearnet for its commodities business until Q4 2014.]”.
For the avoidance of doubt, LCH.Clearnet confirms that LME has not served a termination notice with respect to its clearing contract with LCH.Clearnet, no extension has been negotiated and LME’s contract remains unchanged. Consequently the statement has been removed from the 2012 Annual Report and this announcement is a correction of the RNS statement.
