Synapse for LME - Maintenance Release July 2011

LCH.Clearnet will be introducing enhancements to Synapse for LME in early July.

The changes will benefit all users and will include:

• improving functions, enquiry screens, returned results and reports
• creation of a new intra-day margin report and price file

• improvements to the XI+ password reset process

There are also a number of enhancements to the option exercise process including:

• the use of reference price
• exercise screen default to current month
• exercise limit breach warnings

• automated broadcast messages

There are no changes to the XI+ messages or to the format of the XML and TDF data sets.

Testing will begin on 31 May 2011 and will last for two weeks and will include an option expiry event. Although this is optional members should independently assess the need and opportunity to participate in the test phase.

Details of the changes and the member test phase will be published in the next few days and will be presented to members at the briefing sessions on 16 May 2011.
