Company Circular No: | LCH.Clearnet Ltd Circular No 3205 |
Date: | 11 October 2012 |
To: | All Clearing Members |
This message requires the attention and possible action from your IT department.
LCH.Clearnet is changing the supplier of its SSL security certificates from Verisign to Globalsign.
Verisign security certificates will be replaced with Globalsign equivalents as they expire over the next 24 months. In the majority of cases, this will have no effect on your secure connections to LCH.Clearnet systems and file stores.
However, to ensure continued connectivity, you are asked to ensure you have the Globalsign Root CA Certificate, available here, installed within all your browsers, servers and other devices that connect securely to LCH.Clearnet.
You should not remove the Verisign Root CA Certificate as this may still be required for services where our current Verisign certificate has not yet expired as well as other secure connections not involving LCH.Clearnet.
This work should be undertaken as soon as possible, but it will be assumed that all entities connecting to LCH.Clearnet after 31st January 2013 will have the Globalsign Root CA Certificate installed where required.
