LCH.Clearnet Disaster Recovery Tests

LCH.Clearnet LLC is planning to run two disaster recovery tests in September 2013.  CFTC Regulation § 39.18 requires clearing members  to participate in the Clearing House's Business Continuity Testing activities.  These tests provide an opportunity for clearing members to check connectivity between LCH.Clearnet LLC’s systems and, where possible, access to its website and reporting systems during a simulated incident. The tests provide an opportunity for members of LCH.Clearnet LLC to understand and be familiar with its disaster recovery processes.

Ahead of these tests, our network provider BT Radianz will make minor configuration changes at clearing member sites.

Action required

Please pass this notice on to the clearing member's Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery representative to:

1. Provide the contact details of an onsite technical resource to facilitate the BT Radianz changes.

2. Confirm your preferred date for participation in one of the proposed disaster recovery events.

Member involvement in testing
During the tests, clearing members will be asked to check connectivity between LCH.Clearnet LLC’s systems and, where possible, access to its website and reporting systems.

Preparatory work by BT Radianz
BT Radianz will add a routing configuration to the equipment (NetScreen) hosted at clearing member sites. This will allow connection to LCH.Clearnet LLC’s data centre in Paris.

Member support is required as BT Radianz works to ensure completion within the limited timeframes.
