UCS Programme - Stream 1 Derivatives

Further to the successful launch of the new cash clearing platform on 3 December 2010, LCH.Clearnet SA would like to inform clients of the UCS Derivatives planning.

LCH.Clearnet SA is pleased to announce that the target date for the launch of the new derivatives clearing system is Friday 9 December 2011. This launch date will be confirmed at the end of April 2011.

In line with the principles of UCS Stream 1 Cash, this migration will be transparent for the derivatives clients and LCH.Clearnet SA teams will closely monitor the test and launch processes to ensure a smooth migration for clients.

Internal testing principles

In order to guarantee a seamless migration for clients, LCH.Clearnet SA has implemented an intensive testing policy:

• Exhaustive testing (detailed test scripts, unit tests, integration tests, non-functional tests, resilience tests, DR tests and performance tests);
• Full non-regression tests;
• 10 weeks of parallel run (automated comparison of the pre-production and production outputs).

External testing principles and schedule

The clients testing principles and the frozen period are similar to those applied for UCS Programme - Stream 1 Cash:

• 3 weeks of “end-to-end” guided tests with client pilots: focus on non-regression tests starting early November 2011;
• 3 weeks of “end-to-end” free testing with all derivatives clients starting in the second half of November 2011.
